Tom Pivac has been with Macalister Mazengarb for some 45 years, practising in all personal property and small business areas.

He has a particular interest in the motel industry, having specialised in this area over the past 10 years, including acting as legal adviser to the local motel association and associated interest groups. Further, he has been involved in sports management and advice including being adviser to regional and national sports bodies and individuals.

Tom acts for a major residential lender in mortgagee sales, both in giving general advice and on the transactions.

Tom also services the Kapi Mana area of Wellington, attending the firm’s Porirua City office on an appointment basis. He has extensive knowledge of the area and its business and cultural community and advises many of its cultural and religious organisations and affiliated bodies.

Tom’s practice includes advising on:

  • All title matters;
  • All property finance matters;
  • All forms of documentation recording sale and purchase arrangements; and
  • All aspects of small businesses (including their setting up and ongoing administration).
